Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has urged the request its honourable customers to adopt all precautionary measures during monsoon rains to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for their own safety so that precious human lives and property could be secured.
These safety measures include properly 'earthing' electrical appliances and replace or tape all worn out wires and not touch these appliances/cables with wet hands. Public is also requested to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps and other such appliances. Public is requested not to tie their pets and cattle with poles and towers. Females are also requested to avoid usage of metal wires for drying clothes and not touch the washing machine with wet hands without switching it off. It also urged to keep a mat under the foot while pressing the clothes.
Life is very precious and a gift of God and it is our primary duty to secure our lives so people are requested to inform and report the concerned Pesco offices in case of witnessing any damaged cable or damaged pole. Public and the company employees have been requested to ensure to adopt safety measures, it concluded.
