BEIJING: China's Sinopec says its 2017 natural gas output was at 25.7 billion cubic metres (bcm), up 19 percent compared to a year ago, the company said in a statement on Friday

It recently launched 13 new gas wells, adding 12.97 million cubic metres in a bid to ease gas shortages across China this winter, the statement said

It will launch another two gas wells in January, adding 120,000 cubic metres to meet demand in eastern China.
