The business community has sought government's attention towards Bin Qasim Industrial Zone, which has potential to become model industrial zone in the country, a statement said on other day.
"Bin Qasim is the only industrial zone in the country, which is well-planned and organised industrial zone and if the government gives attention it can become a model industrial zone of Pakistan," said Usman Ahmed, President, Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry (BQATI), while addressing the annual general meeting of the trade body. BQATI is working for the last several years to resolve the problems of Bin Qasim Industrial Zone and to create a friendly business environment, he said.
The BQATI and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) enjoy good co-ordination and Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry would extend its utmost co-operation in the development of Bin Qasim Industrial Zone, he added. Ahmed welcomed all the BQATI members who attended the AGM and expressed hope that the newly-elected managing committee will work together to achieve the objectives and goals to create a business-friendly industrial zone.-PR
