The 2nd LadiesFund Entrepreneurship Conference (LEC), 2011 is going to be held on September 16 in Karachi. This was stated by Tara Uzra Dawood, CEO, Dawood Capital Management, Ltd, manager of LadiesFund at a press conference held at a local hotel here on Thursday.
She said the LEC 2011 would showcase six more extraordinary Pakistani entrepreneurial successes and connect them with other entrepreneurs though panel-style workshops. She further said that it has also been decided to conduct seven small LadiesFund workshops in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) and added the virtual businesses and professionals as entrepreneurs are also being introduced this year.
She said the entrepreneurship is a unique mixture of a new idea and risk taking that an individual does to generate profits besides generating jobs for others. The LEC, 2011 aims to bring about a revolutionary change in the society by enhancing and honing the skill of entrepreneurs.
She said the Dawood Capital Management Ltd, managers of LadiesFund has partnered with the HEC, Avari Group and Dawood Global Foundation to present the 2nd LEC, 2011 to be organised on September 16, 2011 at local hotel in Karachi.
Sameera Raja, LadiesFund Brand Ambassador and Nilofer Saeed, founder of CopperKettle/Hobnob/N'Eco's while addressing to the media said the LadiesFund honours and appreciates women entrepreneurs who make a positive contribution to society and urged to the society to appreciate women who, against all odds, stand out on their own feet and achieve financial stability and success. A large number of people were present on the occasion.
