The Karachi Port handled 76,916 tonnes of cargo including 68,835 tonnes of import cargo, 8,081 tonnes of export cargo and 2,097 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 68,835 tonnes comprised of 18,903 tonnes of containerised cargo; 541 tonne of general cargo; 9,391 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,891 tonnes of DAP; 7,500 tonnes of coal and 40,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 8,081 tonnes comprised of 5,714 tonnes of containerised cargo and 2,367 tonnes of bulk cargo. Two ships namely Emirates Indus and Bravo with two container ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. Four vessels viz Kota Anggerik, Emirates Indus, APL Guangzhou and MT Karachi carrying three container ships and oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Kota Anggerik, Fu Yuan Shan, Thor Endeavour and MT Karachi carrying container ship, general cargo ship, coal carrier and oil tanker respectively expected to sail on Saturday.
Two vessels viz MT Lahore and Gunes-K with crude oil tanker and chemicals carrier respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while seven vessels viz Shoko Maru, APL Ruby, Cape Mass, Sea Emarald, Tumeh and Khor Fakkan carrying ethanol carrier, two container ships, DAP ship, wheat carrier and LSFO tanker are due to arrive on Sunday. Five ships namely Oriental Wisteria, Morning Express, DL Diamond and YM America with ethanol ship, naphtha carrier, chemicals carrier and container ship are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 57,942 tonnes, comprising 31,795 tonnes of import cargo and 26,147 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 2,456 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The total import cargo of 31,795 tonnes includes 1,592 tonnes of LPG; 4,750 tonnes of palm oil; 5,800 tonnes of canola seeds; 2,597 tonnes of fertiliser and 17,056 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 26,147 tonnes includes 4,024 tonnes of cement and 22,123 tonnes of containerised cargo. A container ship namely CV Glory sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while four more ships namely MSC Venezuela, Al-Mirqab, MV Gera Simos and MT Long Champ are expected to sail on Saturday morning.
A total number of ten vessels MV Sapphire-II, MV Afamia, MV Loanthi, MV Tycon-II, CV Glory, MV SC Venezuela, MV Al-Mirqab, MT Long Champ, MV Gera Simos and MT Grace are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, palm oil and fertiliser respectively during last 24 hours. Three ships namely New Challenge, My Kines and Bunga Allium carrying diesel oil and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A palm oil tanker namely MT My Kines is expected to take berth at Liquid Cargo Terminal on Saturday.
