Chairman Pakistan Tahrik-e-Inqalab, Rana Ilamdin Ghazi has approached the Lahore High Court against Pakistan Railways with prayer to restrain the railway authorities from leasing out railway engines from America. The petitioner contended that 400 engines are waiting for their repair but respondent authorities instead of repairing these engines and bring them on track have decided to take 50 engines on lease.
He said respondent railways authorities would sale out the 400 engines in scrape and would cause damage to the public exchequers of millions of rupees. He therefore prayed to the court to direct the respondent railways authorities to get the railway engines repaired instead of taking the engines on lease.
