District and Session Judge Lahore, Mujahid Mustaqeem here Saturday sought reply from Station House Officer Defence police station by August 17 in an application filed by dress designer Shahzad seeking court's direction for registration of a criminal case against advisor to Governor Punjab, Zahid Bashir.
Shahzad submitted that a few days ago Zahid Bashir, advisor to Governor Punjab visited his shop. He made some purchase during the shopping and started threatening the applicant. Shahzad approached the SHO for registration of a criminal case against Zahid but he refused to act in accordance with the law. He therefore prayed to the court to pass an order for registration of FIR against Zahid Bashir in PS Defence A.
Earlier, Shahzad also filed a suit for damage of 20 million rupees in civil court against Zahid Bashir, accusing him of defaming and damaging his repute by registering fake FIR against him and his wife and making it public. He said Bashir eroded his popularity by registering case against him and his wife. He said that he suffered a lot of mental agony by the irrelevant statements of Bashir. He therefore prayed to the court to direct the accused to give him 20 million rupees for damaging his repute.
