'PML-N statements aimed at gaining political mileage'

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister for Labour, Sher Azam Khan Wazir has said PML-N leaders are making immature and irresponsible statements for gaining political mileage although there is no confrontation between the government and judiciary. Speaking at Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUj) programme "Mulaqat", he said that the PPP government has always respected decisions of superior judiciary.
Flanked by President KhUj, Arshad Aziz Malik, and senior Vice President, Ali Hazrat Bacha, he asked the PML-N leaders to abstain from creating rift between the government and judiciary. He added that PML-N should play an independent politics. He said the PPP government wanted to implement Charter of Democracy (CoD) step by step, but there are hard-liners hindering the process.
He viewed that different minds could make a fair judgement. The minister also dispelled the impression that the PML-N is the largest political party in the country. The PPP government had paved the way for PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif to return to the country after self-imposed exile from Saudi Kingdom. He said that if PPP would create grand alliance in Punjab it would get overwhelming victory.
He criticised that the PML-N had adopted anti-labour policy in its regime, because of which more than 12,000 employees were sacked. He added that the PPP government is well-wisher of poverty stricken masses, and reinstated all sacked employees after 12 years.
He alleged that PML-N had also opposed the proposal of enhancement of labour wages during the last meeting regarding the Labour Policy in the month of May in Islamabad. He said that the PPP government manifesto is totally people-friendly and vowed that it will continue work for poor segment of the society. He added that the PPP government has always respected decisions of superior judiciary. The PPP government believed in independence and supremacy of judiciary, he maintained.
"Our relations are friendly with the judiciary, there was no need to create problems among them," he observed. He categorically said that the government would complete its five-year constitutional period as everything was going in the right direction in the country. About the prolonged loadshedding, price hike and unemployment, he said that government was taking steps to resolve these issues.
