Co-chairman Business Panel and former president FPCCI & LCCI, Iftikhar Ali Malik has urged businessmen to play proactive role and join hands with FPCCI for revival of the economy.
In a statement here on Friday, Malik said the unprecedented internal and external economic challenges being faced by the country call for concerted efforts by the business community. It is high time to promote collective thinking instead of working individually. FPCCI is the best platform for chambers and trade bodies to give a loud and clear message to those who are sitting at the helm of affairs.
Citing the example of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Malik said the FICCI, owing to its contribution towards the economic affairs of the country, got such a prominence that all the economic decisions in India are made in consultation with FICCI. "Once the FPCCI is involved in top level decision-making process, the economy would get back on rails", he added.
Talking about the ongoing crisis, the co-chairman Business Panel said that the energy shortage and political uncertainty are the main factors hitting the trade and industry. He urged the government to take the business community on-board to get out of this energy mess, as the community has the ability to guide the nation out of this unparalleled situation.
