The Executive Committee of the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) has announced the appointment of Salah Uddin as MAP's new Executive Director. Salah Uddin is a post-graduate in Economics from the Punjab University and a former Gordonian. He brings with him 35 years of vast experience, knowledge and expertise in the field of management.
He has served PIA as its Director Marketing, and held senior positions in Sales, International Affairs and Flight Services, including postings in North America. Salah Uddin has attended various management courses at McGill University, Montreal, Royal Aeronautical Society, Oxford, LUMS Lahore and INSEAD, Fontainbleau, France, which has added to his understanding of the dynamics of management.
The President of MAP, Kamal Chinoy expressed his optimism on the future of this 52-year old institution and said that as a result of Salah Uddin's appointment he expected greater strides in the working of MAP. The outgoing Executive Director Chishty Mujahid has opted for retirement after almost 1 year of meritorious and dedicated service to MAP during which the Association showed significant developments.
