The Services Hospital Lahore had been converted into a patient-friendly model institute, said Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr Muhammad Javed here on Sunday. He said that due to the computerisation of the hospital record, improvement had been witnessed both in attendance of the employees and treatment of the patients.
Dr Javed further said that due to the availability of senior doctors and consultants and quality medical services, the hospital was visited by nearly one million patients during the last fiscal year.
He said that the British Accreditation Service and Pakistan Accreditation Council had awarded ISO-9001-2008 and ISO-14001-2004 certification to Pathology Department of the Services Hospital due to its international standard.
He said that in accordance with the government policy of austerity, the hospital had taken many steps including saving of energy and gas and avoiding mobile calls from hospital exchange. The funds thus saved were used for the welfare of patients, he added.
Dr Javed expressed the resolve that during the ensuing year, the hospital administration would leave no stone unturned in order to provide better services to the patients.
