The newly constituted Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will consider the registration of six political parties including Muttahida Muslim League on Monday.
According to ECP sources, the second meeting of the Commission will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, former justice Hamid Ali Mirza. The meeting will consider the registration of six political parties including Muttahida Muslim League, Awami Tehrik, Ittehad Alam-e-Islam, Sindh Dost Ittehad, Muslim Movement Pakistan and Jamaat-ul-Kalamullah.
However, the ECP will not consider the registration of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), as there are some objections on it by two political parties.
The ECP will also consider the matter of dual nationality and fake degree holders in its meeting, sources added.
The meeting will be attended by the members of Election Commission of Pakistan including former justice Muhammad Roshan Essani, former justice Riaz Kayani, former justice Shazad Akbar Khan, former justice Fazal-ur-Rehman, and ECP Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan.
