Noted Physicist Professor Dr Hassan A. Shah has been appointed as the Chairperson of Government College University Lahore Physics Department with immediate effect while incumbent Chairperson Professor Dr Raiz Ahmed has been transferred to the GCU Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics (CASP) as Director. Professor Dr Shah is one of the most senior and eminent physicist and has already served GCU Physics Department as Chairperson for 6 years till 2008.
