Member of the Kashmir Legislative Assembly Engineer Abdul Rasheed said on Saturday that the Indian government should shun the 'catch and kill' policy and do sincere efforts to rehabilitate the militants (Mujahideen) in Indian occupied Kashmir.
He has also demanded probe into the killing of a 22-year-old youth, Tamir Ahmed Khuroo, who was killed by Indian Central Reserve Police Force personnel at Arampora in Sopore on Wednesday. According to Kashmir Media Service, Abdul Rasheed said the circumstances in which the youth was killed were doubtful and the authorities must explain. He said the loss of any human life should not be celebrated by anyone and the killing of youth should be probed to ascertain the facts.
