Budget session: 'PML-N's protest violated sanctity of parliament'

Peerzada Abdul Ali Zakir Usmani, a senior PPP leader and a close aide of Quaid-i-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Monday said that the outrageous behaviour and anti-democratic attitude of the PML-N during the budget speech in the National Assembly proved that the Nawaz League had become politically bankrupt.
"The PML-N parliamentarians showed complete disregard to the democratic norms and it merely spoiled its image among the masses as well as political parties," he said in a press statement issued here on Monday He said the PML-N had been politically isolated due to its confrontational policies, adding that the PPP government was in complete accord with its partners, including the ANP, the PML-Q, the MQM and members from the Fata.
Peerzada said the PML-N had neither heard the budget speech nor understood it but resorted to unjustified hue and cry in the house under a conspiracy best known to them. Answering a query, Peerzada said the PML-N's protest during the budget speech had violated the sanctity of parliament, adding, such actions reflected their desperation and hopelessness.
