The Karachi Port handled 108,709 tonnes of cargo including 70,557 tonnes of import cargo, 38,152 tonnes of export cargo and 5,055 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 70,557 tonnes comprised of 41,081 tonnes of containerised cargo; 102 tonnes of general cargo; 29,374 tonnes of bulk cargo: 961 tonnes of wheat; 22,850 tonnes of coal and 5,563 tonnes of canola seeds.
The total export cargo of 38,152 tonnes comprised of 10,489 tonnes of containerised cargo; 137 tonnes of general cargo; 10,326 tonnes of bulk cargo: 3,798 tonnes of cement; 6,528 tonnes of wheat and 17,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely MT Quetta, Sima Singapore and Ital Onesta carrying crude oil tanker and two container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Four vessels viz Sima Singapore, CSL Ride, Cardonia and APL Guangzhou carrying four container ships respectively are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Cardonia, Star Island-H and Ellenita with container ship, cement carrier and wheat carrier respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while four ships namely APL Guangzhou, CSL Ride, Apostolos and Spar Rigel with two container ships, naphtha ship and coal carrier respectively are expected to sail on Sunday.
Seven vessels viz Mire, APL Brisbane, MAC Anafi, Al-Mirqab, Alliance Beaumont, Honor and Moondance-II carrying LSFO, three container ships, two vehicles ships and coal carrier respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while seven vessels viz MT Lahore, YM Asia, Hyundai Freedom, Lindavia, Hanjin Rome, Bunga Raya Lima and Bareli carrying crude oil tanker and six container ships respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 90,522 tonnes of cargo includes 57,704 tonnes of import cargo, 32,818 tonnes of export cargo and 2,418 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 57,704 tonnes includes 43,051 tonnes of furnace oil; 755 tonnes of general cargo and 13,898 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 32,818 tonnes includes 5,124 tonnes of wheat; 4,074 tonnes of cement and 23,620 tonnes of containerised cargo.
A container ship namely CV RHL Fiducia sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another container ship namely CV Glory is expected to sail on Saturday. A total number of eight vessels viz MV Abdul, MV Hyundai Ulsan, MV Wales-II, MV Sapphire-II, CV Glory, CV RHL Fiducia, MV Chang Qaing and MT Ocean Concord are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, general cargo, cement, containers, wheat and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely Alexi-I, Al-Soor-II and Zulal-N carrying cement, diesel oil and wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Nala Delmas, CV Libra Copacabana and MV Iron Monger-5 carrying containers and furnace oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Saturday.
