Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah in a pre-emptive measure has announced lucrative incentives for the doctors associated with Government of Sindh. "It has been decided to raise the salary of house job doctors from present rupees 12,000 per month to Rs 18,000 and the post graduate doctors will also be given a salary raise," he said while addressing a press conference at CM House on Saturday.
He said that the government has also decided to give lucrative incentives to the doctors who avoid duties in rural areas and that they will be given attractive allowances in this regard. Qaim said that a committee has also been formed to look into any of the problems being faced by the fraternity of doctors and particularly those serving as young doctor graduates in the hospitals in urban and rural areas.
Moreover, he said that provincial government will leave no stone unturned to give a comparative package to doctors as those being given in the province of Punjab or other provinces. Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed said that provincial government wants to resolve the problems of doctors, particularly those serving in rural health care units, to enable them serve the masses with full dedication. Provincial Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was also present on the occasion and supported the incentives to be provided to the doctors.
