Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has welcomed the budget and termed it a good effort of the government to give relief to masses in the current financial crunch.
SCCI President Khalid Mehmood Khan also lauded the relaxation in tax limit from Rs 300,000 to 350,000, adding that the business community was expecting allocation of special funds for new dams and water reservoirs but a nominal amount of Rs 18 billion had been allocated for this crucial sector to end energy crisis in the country.
He said that the government should focus on income generation and establishing small business so that the trade activity could be increased in the country and people could become self-employed. He also hailed Rs 730 billion allocation for development as a good and positive initiative, which he said would improve infrastructure, generate economic activity and create earning opportunities.
