DCO Naseem Sadiq expressed his displeasure over the poor performance of TMAs in the district and directed the administrators to improve the control and command system in their respective offices in order to provide every possible relief to the public speedily regarding civic amenities. He was presiding over a meeting to review the departmental performance of TMAs.
He said that the quality of the departmental performance should be raised for better service delivery and the positive results of their official activities should visibly be seen by the citizens.
He ordered to activate the town planning sections and illegal constructions should immediately be stopped and legal action be taken against the owner of the buildings which were being constructed above to the approved design and plan. He directed that effective steps should be taken to stop the illegal commercialisation and daily survey be conducted to remove the all kinds of encroachments on the important roads within their respective jurisdiction. The DCO said that the wall-chalking should strictly be discouraged and criminal cases be got registered against the concerned violators.
He further directed to the administrators to check the ongoing uplift schemes being executed by the TMAs on daily basis and to ensure their quality construction besides completing the scheme within stipulated time. He stressed upon the observance of office timings and warned that no lethargy and laxity regarding performance of duty would be tolerated and departmental action would be taken against the defaulters. Among others the meeting was attended by Administrators of TMAs, TMOs and Senior Admn. Officer Khalid Manzur.
