NDA criticises budget

Convenor national democratic alliance (NDA) and MNA, Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti criticised the budget-2011-12 as anti-masses, saying that the inflation will grow after imposition of different surcharge and excise duty on different agriculture inputs.
Talking to a group of journalists, after meeting with elders of different areas of Peshawar on recent budget here at his residence he said that the government had totally ignored the poverty-stricken masses in the budget. He said that budget was against the aspirations and expectation of poor people.
He said that there was not seen any kind of relief and steps for revival of terrorism battered economy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that it was an anti-masses budget and rejected it. "No tangible and viable plan had unveiled to meeting growing crisis of electricity, unemployment, and price hike, especially law and order situation issue in the country, he indicated.
Khawaja Hoti said that the government had imposed excise duty on different fertilisers, which could bring inflation and food insecurity in the country. He asked the rulers to curtail their extravagant to put country on the path of development and progress. The government should shun begging policy from foreign financial institutions, like International Monetary Fund (IMF), Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB) and called for focusing on overseas Pakistanis to generate foreign exchange.
He also asked the rulers to reduce their extravagant expenditure and resources, which had done massive harm to national kitty. He said that government would present mini budget with the passage of time to fill the huge gap in budget deficit. The mini budget will directly affect the poverty-stricken masses.
