Former advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, Sharmila Farooqi, on Wednesday registered a case against a Pakistan born American trader over life threats. According to police, Sharmila, who had reached Karachi by flight from Islamabad, engaged in a quarrel with a Pakistani-American trader Mian Ali Mirza at the Karachi Airport.
Later, she came to Airport police station and lodged an FIR 165/11 against Mian Ali under sections 506B and 504 of Pakistan Penal Code, police said. Meanwhile, police did not confirm the arrest of Mirza till filing of this report. When this scribe tried to contact Sharmila, she was not available for comments.
