Tension remained in Lyari as four more persons were fallen prey to targeted killing at different vicinities of the area on Wednesday. According to details, the first incident took place at Anjuman Hall situated at Memon Society Khadda Market in the limits of Baghdadi police station where unidentified armed men targeted 40-year old Hamid son of Qasim, a resident of Khadda Market.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities, where the doctors pronounced his death. No case was registered till the filing of this report. A bullet-riddled body of young man was found at Mohammad Shah Road in the limits of Nippier police station. The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found the body in a gunny bag near Noorani Masjid located at Mohammad Shah road.
The body was shifted to CHK for legal formalities, where doctors declared it as two-day old body. Later it was moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. A case 68/11 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of state.
Following the heavy aerial gunshots, several areas of Lyari including Nayaabad, Daryaabad, Shah Waliullah road and other neighbourhoods were remained closed.
Two persons namely Imran son of Suleman and Adnan Waqas were shot dead at Shah Waliullah road and Daryaabad, respectively, on Wednesday evening. The victims were shifted to CHK for medico legal formalities.
It is to mention that tension gripped Lyari for the last three days after the murder of Yaqoob Kachi, who was killed in Baghdadi area on Monday.
