Paramedical association demands 100 percent rise in salary

Para Medical Association, Khyber Paktunkhwa has demanded 100 percent increase in employees' salaries in upcoming budget-2011-12 and announced to stage a sit-in outside Parliament house on Friday (tomorrow) to press the government for implementation of Pay and pension commission bidding recommendation.
The association meeting was organised at Lady Reading Hospital. President Syed Rohidad Shah chaired the meeting. Beside General Secretary, Mohammad Asim along with rest of office bearers attended the meeting. The meeting demanded of the federal government to implement pay and pension commission recommendation in upcoming budget.
The meeting decided that they would stage a protest sit-in outside parliament house under the auspices of All Coordination Council on June 3 (Friday). The meeting informed that all paramedics' staff would participate in scheduled sit-in to register their protest.
The meeting said that the proposed 15 percent increase in employees' wages was insufficient and demanded of the government to increase 100 percent salaries of the employees keeping in view growing inflation in the country. The meeting also called for immediate enforcement of pay and pension commission recommendations in letter and spirit.
