NBP's All Pakistan Wheel Chair Cricket Tournament, that commenced at Karachi Parsi Institute Ground on Friday ended with the victory of Lahore over Peshawar with 124 runs. The tournament was presided over by Ms Kishwar Zehra MNA. The prizes and awards were distributed by Imam Bakhsh Baloch, SEVP/Group Chief, NBP. In the sports event, six teams participated from all over the country.
The tournament was played on knockout basis with a total of five matches taking place. Speaking on the occasion, Imam Bakhsh Baloch said sports teams and players should be encouraged by the society, as these youngsters are involved in positive and constructive activities despite their disability. This is an omen for the entire society, which is otherwise facing many challenges. He praised the overall role of NBP in supporting sports with special focus on disabled people who can play a very constructive role in the society.-PR
