I would like to extend my heartiest felicitations to all the members, students and management of ICMAP's Karachi Branch Council (KBC) for organising ICMAP's Management Accountants' Day - 2011, celebrating 60th year of contribution towards national economy.
ICMAP has made commendable contributions in fulfilling its aim to provide high caliber professional Cost & Management Accountants. It is also to be commended for including a spirit of inquiring and a passion for learning and excellence among the cost and management accountancy professionals.
The role of Accountants is of paramount importance in achieving effective presentation of disclosures and financial information. The world is changing fast and the accounting profession must come up to the international standards of accounting and good corporate governance.
I hope that while celebrating "Management Accountant Day - 2011" on its 60th anniversary the ICMAP will also enhance awareness about the role of financial institutions in the development of economy. The celebrations today will also help young Management Accountants to gain experience, learn new ideas to cope-up with future challenges.
I wish ICMAP a future full of continued success in all professional endeavours.
