Nurses play vital role in the recovery process of the patients, therefore, special training programme for nurses about various diseases can enhance their professional capability to a great extent enabling them serve the ailing humanity in more effective manner.
This was expressed by Professor Mehmood Ali Malik, ex-Principal King Edward Medical College, while addressing a ceremony held in honour of the nurses and doctors, who completed 4-weeks special diabetes training course held at Lahore General Hospital.
The event was also attended by Dr Anjum Habib Vohra, Professor of Neuro Surgery, Professor Ghias-un-Nabi Tayab, Dr Zafar Ikram MS, Dr Rafiq Basharat, Dr Imran Hassan, faculty members and a large number of nurses. While applauding the efforts of Professor Dr Tariq Sallahuddin, Principal Postgraduate Medical Institute in order to improve the professional skills of doctors and nurses by conducting training workshops, Malik said that it is the age of specialisation in medical science and modern research in medical field has saved humanity from many fatal diseases. Professor Anjum Habib Vohra said in his address that nurses performed the dual responsibilities.
