'Healthy entertainment imperative for growth of society, institutions'

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Imtiaz Inayat Elhai has said that healthy entertainment is imperative for proper growth of a society and institutions should arrange such entertaining galas to provide healthy and easy entertainment. "It is very good opportunity for the citizens to come with their families and enjoy through healthy activities," Elahi said while opening two-day family gala organised by Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Saturday.
The Family-Gala of the ITP started with attraction for the visitors at beautiful stalls and eye-catching programmes especially, for the children. Puppet-shows have been arranged for the children while various kinds of swings have been also placed there. Commandos of Anti-Terrorist squad of Islamabad police also demonstrated the firing skill, expertness to hit target and rescue people in case of any emergency of fire. Entry in this gala is free of cost and more than 125 stalls of edible items, jewellery, clothes and others have been arranged there to attract the visitors.
ITP has also arranged Magic shows, Puppet Show, Dog Show, Horse riding, camel riding, Buggy rides, Jumping Castle slides and cartoon show. Chairman CDA said that authority will co-operate in arranging such activities for people and appreciated holding of such galas. He said people have got opportunity to spend their free hours in good atmosphere along with their kids.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood said that life style in big cities is changing and every person is busy. The SSP said that purpose of arranging the gala at this picnic spot is to provide the citizens an opportunity to spend their timings in a relaxed atmosphere. The gala will culminate on Sunday and famous singers will also perform in it to enthral visitors. IGP Islamabad will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
