The Karachi Port handled 113,639 tonnes of cargo including 86,742 tonnes of import cargo, 26,897 tonnes of export cargo and 2,250 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 86,742 tonnes comprised of 13,011 tonnes of containerised cargo; 25 tonnes of general cargo; 2,513 tonnes of bulk cargo: 776 tonnes of coal; 1,737 tonnes of rock phosphate and 71,193 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 26,897 tonnes comprised of 21,414 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,123 tonnes of general cargo; 3,260 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,347 tonnes of cement; 913 tonnes of talcum powder and 1,100 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Cap Gebriel, STX Patriakos, Quetta and Pardis carrying four container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Cap Gebriel, Lavender, Pardis, Cathrina, Red Sea Spirit, Hong Xin Angel and Nord Observar carrying three container ships, cement carrier, coal carrier, rock phosphate and jet oil tanker are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Lavender and Oriental Rose carrying container ship and oil tanker expected to sail on Friday, while three ships namely Ital Ottima, BSLE Star and Red Sea Spirit with container ships, talcum powder and coal carrier are expected to sail on Saturday.
Five vessels viz FSL Singapore, Lodestar Genesis, CSL Ride, YM America and APL Sharjah with jet oil tanker, chemicals and three container ships respectively due to arrive on Friday, while eight vessels viz Chemroad Quest, Sea Sky, Taban-1, MOL Success, Grand Orion, Ellenita, Yong Jin and Kiran Asya carrying chemicals, ethanol, LSO, two container ships, vehicles carrier, coal carrier and wheat carrier respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 81,153 tonnes of cargo includes 63,421 tonnes of import cargo, 17,732 tonnes of export cargo and 1,863 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 63,421 tonnes includes 54,136 tonnes of furnace oil and 9,285 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 17,732 tonnes includes 1,970 tonnes of wheat; 834 tonnes of cement and 14,928 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV NYK Kai, CV MSC Roberta and MV Rana sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while another ship namely MT Al-Nouf is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of five vessels viz CV NYK Kai, CV MSC Roberta, MV Hunter-K, MV Rana and MT Al-Nouf are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, cement and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Genmark Compatriot, Al-Salam-II, Glory and Argent Iris carrying furnace oil, containers and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Glory, MT Genmark Compatriot and MT Argent Iris carrying containers, furnace oil and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Friday, while two container ships namely CV MSC Magali and CV CMA CGM Massi are due to arrive on the same day. Three ships namely MV Al-Asaka, MV Golden Ambrosia and MT Bow Fuji are due to arrive on Saturday, while three more vessels viz CV Maersk Carolina, MV Naghde-M and MT Erico Ivoli are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Sunday.
