National Assembly passes 'The Carriage by Air Bill 2010'

The National Assembly Wednesday passed "The Carriage by Air Bill 2010". Federal Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar moved the Bill in the Lower House of the Parliament. Zahid Ahmed of PML-N asked for minor amendment in the bill which was not opposed by the Minister and House adopted it unanimously.
The Bill to give effect in Pakistan to the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, 1999, and to consolidate the laws and applicable convention in relation to international carriage by air as well as the law applicable to domestic carriage by air.
