At least three persons were killed in different mishaps at various parts of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to details, a man was stabbed to death near Nipa Chowrangi within the limits of Gulshan Iqbal police station. The incident took place near Nipa Chowrangi when 32-year-old Ghulam Nabi Rasool, who was on the way to work, was stabbed to death by two unidentified culprits.
On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim used to live in Al-Asif Square and owned a kitchen at block 5 Gulshan Iqbal. They suspected that he might have been murdered on personal enmity. No case was registered till filing of this report.
In another incident, a man was crushed to death near Shafi Goth National Highway in the limits of Shah Latif police station. The victim 55-year-old Wali Dad son of Gull Jan, a resident of Khoi Goth Bin Qasim, was crushed by a speeding vehicle while crossing a road. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico legal formalities. The victim was a father of three and hailed from Khyber Pukhtoonkwah. No case was registered till filing of this report. A menial worker Aurangzaib, 50 son of Mir Afzal was killed when a wall of under construction house fell in the remits of Darakhshan police station. The body was transported to JPMC and later handed over to his family.
