At least three persons including a cop were killed in separate incidents of targeted killing at various parts of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to details, a cop was gunned down while the other one was injured at Sultanabad in the limits of Jackson police station.
The incident took place at New Quetta Medina Hotel located at Sultanabad where two policemen, who were having tea, were fallen prey to two unknown-armed riders. Resultantly Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Manzoor Ahmed, 38 son of Faqeer Mohammad died on the spot while PC Saleem son of Abdul Sattar received bullet wounds.
After committing the crime, the culprits managed to flee from the scene. Later the body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). No case was registered till filing the report. In another incident, two bullet-riddled bodies were found near Edhi Graveyard in the limits of Mauripur police station.
The identities of victims were yet to be ascertained, while police found them near Edhi graveyard located at Suparco road Baldia. Police said the victims, who had torture marks, were blindfolded and appeared to be Pushtoon speaking. The bodies were shifted to CHK for post mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue till identification.
