ITP and CDA hold meeting

Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood has said that Islamabad Traffic Police with the active support of Capital Development Authority (CDA) will ensure traffic discipline through effective road engineering.
"Better road structure will help ensure traffic discipline and smooth sailing of traffic on busiest roads," Dr Moeen said during a meeting held here on Tuesday attended by the officials from Islamabad Traffic Police and CDA who suggested ideas as to how improve traffic flow and acquaint traffic police with modern techniques.
It is to be mentioned here that teams of the ITP and CDA have conducted survey in Islamabad and prepared various proposals to improve traffic flow in the city after the meeting between IGP Islamabad and Chairman CDA. IGP Islamabd Wajid Ali Durrani along with ITP team pointed out various problems on roads, which the CDA Chairman agreed to resolve after constituting joint team comprising of officials from both sides.
SSP (Traffic) thanked the CDA officials for their co-operation with them and said that traffic situation on roads of Islamabad will be improved through joint efforts. The meeting was attended among others by SP (Traffif) Mir Vaiz Niaz, DSPs of four zones, CDA Director Traffic Engineering Azam Lodhi, Director Road Mr Shahid and other CDA Officials. The meeting considered various points and options for better traffic flow at various roads of Islamabad especially at IJ Principal Road, Murree Road and Islamabad Expressway.
