Defence Ministry Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar while defending the intelligence agencies of the country said that all the allegations being levelled against them were false and fabricated. Reacting to the statements of Afghanistan and India regarding intelligence failure to trace the hideout of al Qaeda leader in Abbottabad, Mukhtar warned the neighbouring country of any misadventure like the one carried out by the US.
"Pakistan has strong defence capabilities," he said and warned that any misadventure by the neighbouring country would result in disaster. Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said that in the context of neighbouring country's miscalculations of surgical strikes on US pattern would be deterred with force. He said, "the approach of surgical strikes, which could jeopardise the sovereignty of other country is non professional". He further said that the political leadership of the country and military was on the same page and knows well how to react in case of any misadventure against the sovereignty of the country in future.
