The Swiss franc rose against a broadly weaker dollar on Thursday but held off record highs hit in the previous session as investors took stock ahead of a European Central Bank policy meeting later in the day. Against the dollar the franc rose 0.4 percent to 0.8568 per dollar at 0657 GMT, after plumbing a new record low of 0.8554 francs on Wednesday, according to EBS data.
The franc held steady against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.276 per euro.
