To identify the new ways to develop and renew the world's economy, the Astana Economic Forum an international dialogue platform, held its fourth two-day discussion here on Tuesday which is attended by experts from Kazakhstan, US, European Union, China, Japan, Russia, Brazil and other countries.
The aims and objectives of the setting was, to mechanise the global financial system development, promotion of business development, integration processes, international cooperation and attraction of investments. The IV Astana Economic Forum is formed on the theme "Global challenges and prospects of development: ways to mutual progress."
Among the participants are the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations Jan Kubis, Nobel Prize Laureates Robert Mandell, John Nash, Roger Kornberg, James Mirrlees, Eric Maskin, and Finn Kidland and others. One of the significant events of the forum is the session "International Monetary System: New Configuration of Economic and Monetary Power", conducted by the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee and Nobel laureate Robert Mundell.
It is also aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation, encouragement of investment attraction, social development innovation implementation. The two-day discussion is convereged upon three key trends, "The Global Economy and Finance", "Business and Investment" and "Economy and Stable Social Development".
Each of these will be characterised by discussions on topical issues concerning the global economy and finance, by meetings for the conclusion of contracts and memoranda, and by business and social discussions aiming at developing recommendations for the leaders of countries and international organisations. Various local and foreign companies, financial institutions, medium and large enterprises, development institutions and representatives of central and local authorities have joined the Forum.
