Media's role in establishment of law, order vital

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Aslam Tareen has said that media plays a pivotal role in establishment of law and order in the society. On the invitation of governing body of Lahore Press Club, the CCPO visited LPC Thursday. He remained with the members of the club for some time and exchanged view on various matters.
He assured them that their reservations regarding law and order in Journalists' Colony and land grabbers would be removed and Lahore Police would extend whole-hearted co-operation in this regard. He appealed the journalists' community to provide guidance to police through positive criticism so that it can improve its working and efficiency.
