Deputy Convenor, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Rabita Committee, Dr Farooq Sattar on Wednesday announced that his party has decided to rejoin the Federal Cabinet. Dr Farooq Sattar made the announcement while talking to media here at the Sindh Governor House.
Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishrat- ul- Ebad, MQM leader, Adil Siddiqi and other notables were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Rehman Malik expressed gratitude to the MQM for rejoining the Federal Cabinet.
Dr Farooq Sattar said a joint meeting of his party's Rabita Committee in Pakistan and London was held earlier in the day and decided that the MQM will rejoin the Federal Cabinet. Referring to the meetings of his party's leaders with the President and the Prime Minister, Dr Farooq Sattar informed: "We expressed our reservations during the meetings and we were given assurances that our reservations would be removed."
