The Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Karachi, on the occasion of Indonesian Chairmanship of MEAN 2011, organised First ASEAN Plus Diplomatic Tournament" at OHA Golf Club, Karachi, here on Monday. Consul generals of six countries namely Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, Republic of Korea and Switzerland participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Indonesian Consul General, Rossalis. R. Adenan said that the tournament is aimed for fun and strengthening friendship, camaraderie and brotherhood among the consular corps in Karachi. Participation is more important than winning, he added. He said, "Hosting the event was an honour and privilege to me". He further said that it was the first event of its kind, and organiser for next tournament would be Japanese Consulate in Karachi in June.
The championship concluded though a prize distribution ceremony. The first prize went to Thailand CG Udom Sapito, the first runner up was Korean CG In Ki Lee, the second runner up was Japanese CG Mr Masaharu Sato, and the third runner up was Chinese CG Zhang Jianxin, while consolation prize was given to Didier Boschung, CG of Switzerland, the subsidiary prize for the Longest Drive end for the Nearest to the Pin went to Udom Sapito, CG of Thailand and the subsidiary prize for the nearest to the line goes to Mr Trigustono Supriyanto from Indonesia.-PR
