Raza wants to quit

Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination Mian Raza Rabbani is said to have urged President Asif Ali Zardari to relieve him of his portfolio in case Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) joins the cabinet. Well-placed sources in the PPP told Business Recorder that Rabbani expressed these views in a meeting of Core Committee of the party which was held last Thursday in the Presidency.
The sources said some other members of the Committee also endorsed Rabbani's viewpoint. According to these sources, Rabbani said if he himself tendered resignation from the ministerial slot it would unnecessarily create media hype.
