Kayani's alleged contact with Manmohan: ISPR contradicts report as baseless

Pakistan Army has categorically contradicted a media report which appeared in The Times of London on April 23, 2011, regarding Chief of Army Staff General Parvez Kayani's talks to the Indian Prime Minister through a secret envoy. Terming the news items unfounded and totally baseless, the spokesman of ISPR refuted the media report.
On other side, the Indian Prime Minister Secretariat on Sunday also issued a similar contradictory note terming the media report baseless. The Times of London reported that Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had opened a secret back door diplomatic channel through an unofficial envoy before his meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani at Mohali. The news items tried to establish that Manmohan Singh appointed an unofficial envoy about 10 months ago to make contact with Kayani.
