Engro's investment in people

Engro has launched a vocational training programme at Daharki to promote employment for local youth by expanding the pool of skilled labour. Graduating students have found employment with a number of local organisations working in the region as well as in the Middle East.
Engro has also formed a partnership to develop a Technical Training Center (TTC) in Daharki, which will train skilled labour for the energy and chemical industries. Over the past year, the fertilisers business continued to work with smallholder farmers to improve sustainable practices, and helped them boost local incomes and productivity. Training of farmers has resulted in improvements in yield and profitability.
