Islamabad Police and other law enforcement agencies have faced the challenges of terrorism and extremism with courage and succeeded in providing security to live and property of the citizens, said Liu Jian Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan here on Wednesday.
The efforts and role of Islamabad Police and other law enforcement agencies are praiseworthy in fight against terrorism, as they have kept terrorists and criminals at bay from Federal Capital, the Chinese envoy said during his visit to Security Division of Islamabad Police, where he planted a sapling.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani, DIG Security Division Dr Mujeeb-ur- Rehman, SP Security Division Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq, DSPs Hassan Raza Shah, Naeem Iqbal and officials from Chinese embassy were also present on the occasion. Relationship between China and Pakistan is very cordial, which will further strengthen in the upcoming days owing to good feelings and association among the people of both countries, Liu Jian said.
The Chinese envoy appreciated the role of Pakistani forces and people in war against terrorism. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by Islamabad police for the security of diplomats and foreign dignitaries. Wajid Durrani thanked the Chinese Ambassador for his visit to Security Division and for planting sapling.
