Fake degree case: LHC issues notice to MPA

An election tribunal of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued notice in a petition challenging election of PML-Q, MPA Mian Tariq Mahmood. The petitioner, a voter, Muhammad Tariq alleged that Mian Tariq had a bogus degree of BA. He said that according to the record Mian Tariq passed his intermediate examinations in 2003 and did his BA in 2004.
He said that BA is a two-year programme and cannot be passed in one year. He, therefore, prayed the court to declare the election of Mian Tariq as null and void.
