The Karachi Port handled 96,176 tonnes of cargo including 71,797 tonnes of import cargo and 24,379 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 71,797 tonnes comprised of 30,201 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,596 tonnes of general cargo and 40,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 24,379 tonnes comprised of 14,141 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,847 tonnes of general cargo and 7,391 tonnes of cement. Six ships namely Al-Badiyah, Bunga Raya Lima, APL Amman, MOL Sea Breeze, Freedom and Ital Onesta with oil tanker, three container ships, car carrier and container ship sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz MT Lahore, YM Europe, Alliance Charleston, MSC Peggy, Arikun and Kota Arif carrying oil tanker, container ship, car carrier, container ship, bulk cargo carrier and container ship respectively are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Alliance Charleston, YM Europe and Cape Sorrell with car carrier and two container ships respectively expected to sail on Tuesday, while three ships namely Hestia Leader, MT Lahore and Heugaard Scan carrying vehicles carrier, oil tanker and general cargo carrier expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Royal Jasper, Hestia Leader and Sofia with chemical carrier, vehicles carrier and steel coils respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while five vessels viz Adventure, Mitra Bhum, Hanjin Rome, Qatar Spirit and UCB Cyprus with jet oil, two container ships, coal ship and cement carrier respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 16,938 tonnes of cargo includes 3,840 tonnes of import cargo, 13,098 tonnes of export cargo and 839 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo includes 3,840 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 13,098 tonnes includes 6,102 tonnes of cement and 6,996 tonnes of containerised cargo.
A container ship namely CV Northern Valour sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while two more ships namely MV Angeles and MV Genmar Compatriot carrying containers and diesel oil respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of five vessels viz CV Northern Valour, MV Angeles, MV Orient-III, MV Wales-II, and MV Genmar Compatriot are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Seven ships namely Al-Soor-II, Sea Lark, Mako, Rana, Nedlloyd Barentsz, Hanjin Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi carrying diesel oil tanker, wheat carrier, furnace oil tanker, cement carrier and three container ships respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Barentsz, CV Hanjin Los Angeles and CV Abu Dhabi carrying containers respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Tuesday.
