The unabated targeted killings on Tuesday claimed three more lives including an activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-H) in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis. According to details, an activist of MQM-H was shot dead in the limits of Awami Colony police station.
The victim 23-year-old Amir Ahmed son of Aslam Ali, a resident of sector 5-C Landhi, was targeted by two armed assailants when he was standing outside jewellers' market of Korangi No 6. Resultantly he was hit by four bullets and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, was an employee of garments factory and also a plumber, associated with MQM-H Afaq group. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A bullet-riddled body of an old man was found at Lasbella Bridge in the remits of Gulbahar police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found his body from Lasbela Bridge. Police said the victim, who was hit by two bullets, was in his late fifties and appeared to be Pushto speaking. The body was transported to ASH for post-mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. Police registered a case against unidentified men on the complaint of state.
Yet another bullet-riddled body of youth was found near Landhi Degree College within the remits of Awami Colony police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found the body near Landhi Degree College located at Korangi No 6.
On being informed, the police recovered bullet-riddled body from the bushes near Degree College. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, who wore pant-shirt, appeared to be Urdu speaking, adding that unidentified culprits, who kidnapped and then killed him, threw his body near college. Police later moved his body to Edhi Morgue for identification.
