Three including two women killed in different incidents

At least three persons including two females were killed in different mishaps at various parts of the metropolis here on Monday. According to details, a strangled body of man was found in his house at Taiser Town sector 50-C in mysterious circumstances in the limits of Sarjani police station. The victim identified as 30-year-old Nadeem Qureshi son of Hafiz Qureshi.
Police said that three alleged bandits, who barged in the victim's house for looting purpose, stifled him with ropes on resistance and managed to flee from the scene. On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and recovered his strangled body from his house. Police complained that the family of the victim did not facilitate them in investigation while they have also detained his wife for interrogation. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem. The victim was an employee of leather factory and father of one.
A tortured body of young girl was found in a gunny bag near KMC workshop in the limits of Eidgah police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found her body in a gunny bag near KMC workshop in Ranchore Line area. Police shifted her body to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsy. Police said the victim had several torture marks and might be rapped before having been murdered. Later the body was moved to Edhi morgue for identification.
In another incident, a woman was crushed to death by a speed passenger bus near Daak Khana in the limits of Super Market police precincts. The victim 42-year-Haleema wife of Shoaib, who was on the way to home with her son on a motorcycle (KBN-353), was knocked by a speedy passenger bus (JA-6315) near Daak Khana stop. Resultantly, she died on the spot while her son sustained minor wounds.
After the incident, the responsible driver managed to flee while the enranged mob set the bus on fire. The body was shifted to ASH for legal formalities. On being informed, police, fire tenders and Edhi and Chippa ambulances rushed to the spot. Police said the victim was the resident of Liaquatabad no 2. No case was registered till filing of this report.
