'Chinese technology to help check terrorism, modernise institutions'
Punjab Education Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that technology 2030 introduced by Chinese Company Huawei will greatly help in checking terrorism, improving the security of the cities and modernising the institutions.
Addressing at Huawei Enterprise Road Show 2011 here on Monday, he said modern technology will play an important role for elimination of terrorism, improvement of security of the cities, promotion of education and liaison between the institutions. "It is a good omen that our local and young engineers qualified from Pakistani universities are working with Huawei.
The technology transfer done by Huawei and other multinational organisations in Pakistan has been significant and hoped that our young generation can make a great difference in the world," he added. He thanked Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Alon Wang on arranging a road show for introducing modern technology.
He commended the introduction of modern technology particularly in health and education sectors and assured full co-operation on behalf of the Punjab government. He also paid tributes to the administration of Huawei. He said the friendship of Pakistan and China is exemplary which will last forever.
Addressing the function, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Alon Wang said they are making strenuous efforts for introducing modern technology in Pakistan. He especially thanked the Punjab government for extending co-operation. Officials of Huawei and local technologists also addressed the function on this occasion. Engineers of the company also gave special briefing with regard to importance and performance of the Huawei products.
