Date for listing of houses in the province during the ongoing census is likely to be extended by 7 to 10 days. A meeting, presided by Sindh Chief Secretary Abdul Subhan Memon, on Saturday deliberated the issue and problems in this regard and reviewed the recommendations made by provincial commissioner census Noor Mohammed Leghari.
It was stressed in the meeting that the date may be extended further the deadline of April 19 by 7 to 10 days and that the final decision will be taken by Chief Minister Sindh in this regard after submission of the recommendations.
The Chief Secretary said that all the province of census was being monitored and complaints were being removed without any discrimination across the province. The meeting was informed that all resources will be utilised to provide access to the field officers to execute their job in remote areas of the province. On the occasion, the provincial commissioner Leghari said that several teams have been formed to address the grievances of the people in this regard.
