Former president Pervez Musharraf will address supporters of his newly-formed APML through a video conference in Lahore on Sunday. While announcing about the video address, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that the April 17 public meeting would prove to be a new beginning in the political history of Pakistan.
He said Musharraf would make direct contact with the oppressed masses. On the possibility of Musharraf's return, Chaudhry said, although he was very excited about returning, his loyalists had advised him to wait for an appropriate time. Fawad Chaudhry could not specify the reasons preventing the return of Musharraf to the country. However, he said, Musharraf would land in one of the provincial capitals, presumably Lahore, to participate in the next general elections. Chaudhry also refuted reports that warrants by FIA against Musharraf in former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination case had anything to do with his return.
