13th National Seniors Cricket Cup: Sheikhupur Lions, Amir Cables win

Two matches were decided in 13th National Seniors Cricket Cup, as Sheikhupur Lions and Amir Cables notched victories in Central Punjab Zone. Sheikhupura defeated Jhang Lions by 97 runs in Group-H. The winners made 275 with Naseer Bhatti 96, Waseem Fazal 62, Muhammad Yaqoob 50, Salim Malik 22.
Nadeem Fazal 2/50, Wazir Ali 2/26, Nasir Bhatti 1/44 were wicket takers for Jhang who scored 178-8 in reply. Their main scorers were Inayat Ali 48 not out, Nadeem Ahmed 35, Muhammad Usman 23, Farhan Ali 21, Wazir Ali 21. Tanveer Virk 2/31, Sajjad ul Hassan 2/34 were wicket takers. In other match, Amir Cables took short work of Siddiq Motors in Group-C, bowling them out for only 90 and raced to 93-2 with Amir Butt 30, Dastagir Butt 23, Muhammad Tauseef 19 not out, Rafaqat Ali 11 not out. Zafar Butt snared 2/17 for Siddiq Motors whose main contributors were Muhammad Javed 32, Asim Siddiq 21 not out.
